The NSC MINIATURA 8 grant for Dr. Ilona Gurgul

The National Science Center has announced the second ranking list of the eight edition of the MINIATURA competition. This time, funding was received by two scientists from the Jagiellonian University. We are pleased to announce that among the winners of the competition is Dr. Ilona Gurgul from the Coordination and Bioinorganic Physicochemistry Group of the Jagiellonian University's Faculty of Chemistry, who, thanks to the grant of PLN 49 500, will carry out a project entitled Investigation of the content of transition metals in senescent cells in connection with the development of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

The MINIATURA call is meant to support research activities performed by researchers with no prior experience in research project management. The aim of a research activity under MINIATURA is to prepare a research plan for a project for which funding can be requested under an NCN call, or other national or international calls. A research activity may be performed by researchers whose scientific achievements include at least one paper published or at least one artistic achievement or achievement in research in art, who have been conferred their PhD degree after 1 January 2012.

Sincere congratulations!
