2022 ASC Summer School in Krakow

Faculty of Chemistry, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, together with the consortium of Advanced Spectroscopy in Chemistry (ASC), have the honor of inviting master students to the 2022 ASC Summer School. The main theme of the Summer School is “Characterization of materials with spectroscopic and imaging techniques”. The ASC school will be held in Krakow, from the 20th of June to the 24th of June, 2022.

The European ASC Master's Course is a two-year (4 semesters, 30 ECTS each) Master's program which includes mobility periods within the ASC network. It has been jointly designed and is operated by 5 European universities since 2007: University of Lille, Alma Mater of Bologna, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, University of Leipzig, and University of Helsinki. The ASC Master’s course has been selected and financed for the third time by the Erasmus Mundus program (EMJMD) of the European Union.

In the framework of the ASC Master’s course, the ASC Summer School will allow students to meet all together in the same place once a year. First-year students will therefore meet all second-year students, as well as former ASC students who are now doing a Ph.D. or have found a job. It will also be the moment for the first-year students to network with alumni and external guests from the industry or with invited professors from the consortium.

The Steering Committee of the Utrecht Network has approved the ASC Winter School as a “Utrecht Network School”. With this approval, the School becomes eligible for the “hospitality grants” funds that the Utrecht Network provides to its schools. Students from any Utrecht Network members are eligible for this kind of grant. The procedures for the Hospitality Fund schemes are summarized here: https://utrecht-network.org/hospitality-fund/

ASC Summer School was supported from the funds of the program “Excellence Initiative –Research University” at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
