Venue

The conference will take place in Krakow, an ancient capital of Poland. Krakow is one of the top tourist destinations in Europe. More than 2 millions foreign tourists and 5 million domestic tourists visit Krakow every year. Unique architecture and the national treasures are the main attractions. Due to many pubs, clubs and restaurants Krakow is full of life throughout the whole year. Krakow plays also the role of cultural center of Poland.

Kraków has a long historical tradition of culture and science. Its old centre is on the UNESCO List of World Heritage. Resplendent with historical monuments, it offers a unique atmosphere both for regular sight-seeing and for leisurely strolls. The Tatra Mountains and The Salt Mine in Wieliczka are other places in the region that would be worth visiting. All these tourist attractions make Kraków one of the favourite destinations in Europe.

The Jagiellonian University, founded in 1364, is the oldest one in this part of Europe (Nicolas Copernicus was one of its students). Its ancient buildings, dating back to the 14th century, accommodate The University Museum.

The ECTN 2019 GA will be held in the new building of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Jagiellonian University. (Please note the change of our location).

You can easily reach the venue by numerous trams and buses. The stops closest to the venue are “Norymberska” or “Ruczaj”. The address is Gronostajowa 2, 30-387 Kraków.

In particular, from the city center area you can take trams No. 18 and 52, or busses No. 194 (direction ‘Czerwone Maki’; ca. 20-30 minutes, depending on the starting point).
